Over 130 volunteers spruced up the Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter, a program of Family Service as part of Comcast Cares Day.
April is Autism Awareness Month
Did you know:
The latest statistics indicate that autism affects nearly 1 in 88 or over one percent of all American children under the age of 18.
Bucks County has the 5th highest population of individuals on the Autism Spectrum out of Pennsylvania’s 66 counties.
Chances are, you know someone affected by autism.
The Family Service AACES program (Asperger’s Awarness Community-education and Support), has collected information about resources in Bucks County for children and adults with autism spectrum disorders. AACES is running several workshops for young adults with Asperger’s on the topics of Resiliency, Social Skills in the workplace, and Social thinking and problem solving in college. If you have any questions for us or would like some information on these seminars, please feel free to call the AACES Center at 215-757-3300.
