Our Senior Leadership Team brings decades of knowledge, experience and management to our organization. Their diverse backgrounds in wide-ranging disciplines are critical to our success; from business strategy and finance to development and planning. These dedicated senior staff members implement Board decisions and initiatives in order to maintain the smooth operation of our agency.

 

Julie Dees, MBA, LPC

As Chief Executive Officer, Julie is responsible for the overall administration of Family Service. With 20 years of combined clinical and administrative leadership, Julie has demonstrated expertise in organizational growth, staff development, and building and fostering positive community relationships. Through her leadership, we fulfill our mission to listen, care and help. Every day.

Nancie M. Miller

Having worked with Family Service for almost four decades, Nancie provides an abundance of historical information about Family Service. Over the years, she has functioned in various administrative and leadership roles, and has been seen the agency grow and evolve into what it is today, “A community where anyone can achieve their full potential”.

Anne M. Estelow

Anne has more than 25 years of strategic financial leadership experience and has worked in the non-profit health and human services field for more than 30 years. As Chief Financial Officer, Anne oversees general ledger, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budgeting, year-end audit, financial planning and IT. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Penn State University.

A seasoned professional, Kristin brings decades of nonprofit human services experience, serving in a variety of clinical and administrative leadership roles. Throughout her career, she has utilized her vast knowledge of innovation and technology to build and enhance successful operations.

Stephen Burns, CFRE

As Director of Development, Stephen oversees the fundraising and volunteer efforts of the agency.  Stephen has more than 11 years of professional fundraising experience and is a life-long resident of Bucks County.

Murielle Kelly, M.P.A.
Director of Housing Services

Ms. Kelly brings over 22 years of experience in social services. As Director of Housing Services, Murielle provides oversight and leadership for four programs: Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter, a 24-hour low-barrier shelter serving families and singles; Housing Link Helpline, a call center for any Bucks County residents experiencing a housing crisis; HOPWA (Housing for Persons with AIDS) Program, a tenant-based rental subsidy program; and Bucks Villa, Inc, an 811- PRAC 811 group home residence for persons who are HIV+. Before working with Family Service, Mrs. Kelly worked for a nonprofit organization in Los Angeles, CA, as Director of the Transitional Housing and Family Resource Center. Ms. Kelly also has work experience working with adjudicated youth and foster care. Ms. Kelly has training and experience in evidenced based practices involving a trauma-informed care approach, housing first philosophy, critical time intervention case management, and motivational interviewing.

Michelle Evans, MS

As Director of Quality Improvement, Michelle oversees the quality and compliance of service delivery and data collection practices throughout the agency. Michelle has over 20 years’ of experience in the field of nonprofit, with 18 years spent with Family Service.

Tricia Dressel, MS, SPHR

Tricia is an experienced and dedicated human resources leader with over twenty years of nonprofit management expertise serving community-based organizations in the Delaware Valley region.  Tricia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the State University of New York at New Paltz and a Master of Science in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania. 

Meghan Szafran, MBA, LPC, CT

Meghan comes to Family Service with over 20 years of behavioral health and non-profit experience in various clinical and leadership roles, most recently as Division Manager of Behavioral Health at Main Line Health System.  She is passionate about increasing healthcare access and equity for vulnerable and marginalized populations and reducing the stigma of behavioral health services. Szafran earned her MBA from Louisiana State University, a master’s degree in clinical counseling psychology with a specialization in trauma studies from Chestnut Hill College. She is a licensed professional counselor in the State of Pennsylvania and is certified in thanatology.
