Housing Link CoC Strategic Planning Process

In partnership with Homebase, a mission driven nonprofit dedicated to building community capacity to end homelessness, Bucks County Housing Link is developing a 5-year strategic plan for the Continuum of Care. The plan will identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and gaps in the current system and will produce a set of goals and strategies for improvement. A key part of the strategic planning effort is to incorporate a Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) lens in the analysis that Homebase conducts, and to produce a DEI action plan as part of a final product. To accomplish that task, Homebase will work in collaboration with a racial equity advisory group currently in the formation process (opportunities to join soon to follow).

The planning process will take place over the course of the next year under the guidance of BCHL’s strategic planning committee. During that time, Homebase will lead an extensive community engagement process that will tap CoC members, community partners and people with lived experience to shape the content of the plan.

Interested in getting involved? Homebase will provide many opportunities to provide input and help guide the process in the coming months, including through one-on-one interviews, focus groups, surveys, and the racial equity advisory group . Please watch for future emails with those details and forward opportunities to your networks. Have questions, comments, or suggestions? Reach out to the Homebase team at buckscounty@homebaseccc.org.

Equity and Inclusion Listening Session

On February 22, 2024, Homebase will be presenting a brief summary of the feedback and analysis done so far through the strategic planning process, and then leading an activity looking at emerging goals and strategies. As part of this activity, Homebase hopes to get feedback on what might be missing and discuss key actions needed to make them happen. All community members are encouraged to participate and share their ideas and feedback.
