At the Family Service Association of Bucks County, we provide a wide range of services to support and strengthen families in Fort Washington and our community at large. Our holistic approach ensures that individuals and their families get the care and support they need to overcome challenges and build healthier, more stable lives.
DUI Program
One of the family services we offer for Fort Washington residents is our comprehensive DUI program. A DUI offense can be a difficult, stressful experience, not just for the individual involved but also for their family, friends, and employers. Our DUI services provide the necessary support and education to help navigate this challenging time.
DUI Evaluation
The first step in our DUI program is the Court Reporting Network (CRN) evaluation. This mandatory evaluation is a questionnaire administered by one of our certified interviewers. It takes about 45 to 60 minutes and includes questions about general information, alcohol and drug use, and details about the arrest. It’s important to note that this evaluation cannot be used for prosecution; it is solely to help you on your path and help us make recommendations for services such as highway safety school and potential drug and alcohol assessments.
DUI Program Components
Our DUI program is structured to provide comprehensive support through several key components:
- DUI Evaluation: This detailed assessment helps us understand how alcohol and drug use may be affecting various aspects of your life, including your physical and mental health, work performance, and relationships. The information allows us to make appropriate treatment and resource recommendations for you.
- Highway Safety School: Most individuals charged with a DUI are required to attend 12.5 hours of highway safety courses. These courses, taught by certified instructors, cover the negative impacts of alcohol and drug use on driving, finances, health, and relationships. Classes are scheduled on weekends to accommodate most work schedules.
- Outpatient Therapy: Based on the assessment, our outpatient therapy program helps you evaluate your substance use patterns and their impact on your life. This program includes both group and individual therapy sessions, designed to help you assess the benefits of change and develop prevention skills for a healthier lifestyle.

In addition to our DUI services, the Family Service Association of Bucks County offers a variety of other programs aimed at supporting the well-being of families and individuals in Fort Washington.
