Limited English Proficiency (LEP) Policy Statement

Family Service Association of Bucks County is committed to ensuring that all clients have meaningful and equal access to services. Clear communication and mutual understanding are essential components of consistently effective, high quality services to clients, regardless of Limited English Proficiency.

To ensure that all clients are able to effectively utilize our services, we will assign Limited English Proficiency clients and/or their immediate family members to staff proficient in the client’s/family’s primary language or will arrange appropriate translation or interpretative services.

To ensure a positive, welcoming physical environment, we utilize universal symbols to designate respective male and female restrooms, exits, handicap areas, and to indicate that our facility is smoke-free.
