Parents and caregivers of transition age youth and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder experience unique challenges, concerns and feelings as they help their child move toward independence. Through educational programs and a monthly parent support group, our staff work with family members to answer questions and provide access to community resources.

Please join us for a discussion about life planning with Michele A. Leahy, MS, Founder and CEO of M. Leahy & Associates.

Topics will include:

  • Applying for SSI/SSDI/Medicare/Medicaid
  • Navigating work with federal and state benefits
  • Differences between Power of Attorney and Guardianship
  • Understanding state waivers
  • Long term planning
  • Special needs trusts

For more information or to join our Parent Support Group, contact Devon Punchello, MSW, AACES Coordinator, at 215.757.6916, ext.222 or dpunchello@fsabc.org.
