Volunteer Orientation Assessment

Thank you for completing the Family Service Volunteer orientation. To receive credit for completing the orientation, please answer the following questions and then electronically sign the documents on the page that will follow.

1. Taking photographs to show my family where I am volunteering is okay, only if
- The location cannot be identified from the photograph.

- It is not ok to take photographs at any Family Service location without permission.

2. When you are filing documents, you become aware that a friend's child is a Family Service client. Since you know the family, which of the following applies?
- Tell the family you understand they are having challenges with their child and offer to help.
- Since you are coming to the office anyway, offer to give the child a ride.

3. What should I do if I'm sick?
- Call my volunteer location to let them know I am sick and I won't be in.

4. What do I do if I'm planning a month long vacation?
- Resign your volunteer position so someone else can take your place.

5. It just started snowing, but my location is open. Do I have to come to volunteer?
- Yes. We expect that volunteers will honor their commitment.

- Contact the Director of Volunteer Services.
- Address it with your volunteer site supervisor.
- Write a letter to the Family Service CEO.

- Our primary means of communication with you is by email.
