Provide anonymous, confidential telephone assistance and respond to calls on local helpline and the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Most callers are local residents who are struggling with a range of challenges including relationship and mental health issues, financial instability, thoughts or plans for suicide, or simply the need for someone to listen. Following training, volunteers are responsible for answering phones in one of our call center locations (Richboro, Langhorne or Wynnewood, PA) for 8 to 16 hours per month (two to four 4-hour shifts) for at least 1 year.

This CONTACT training consists of six classes. Volunteers must attend all six classes in order to complete the training. Contact Ellen Vinson, Director of Volunteer Services, for more information or to register.
