New and Used Goods

Family Service hosts two major donation drives each year to meet the high volume of need during the back to school and holiday seasons. We also accept food, clothing and other items throughout the year.

Please contact Susan Fischer at or 215-757-6916, ext. 208 prior to soliciting or collecting any in-kind donations on behalf of Family Service Association of Bucks County. All drives, as well as use of the Family Service name and logo must be pre-approved. Any item that is not listed or is determined by Family Service to be unacceptable may be discarded or resold to benefit programs and services.

Back to School Drive
You can help children in need return to school with pride and confidence. Donate new clothes, backpacks and supplies, or volunteer to help organize and fill backpacks.

Get involved:

  • Donate items for one child
  • Sponsor several children (great option for groups/companies)
  • Volunteer to fill and expedite backpacks
  • Make a monetary donation

Detailed information about the Back to School Drive will be available in June. Send an email to or call 215-757-6916, ext. 218 if you would like to receive more information about the program.

Holiday Drive
The holiday season can be a very difficult time of the year for individuals and families in need. We collect new, unwrapped gifts for children, teens, adults and seniors. We put the donations on display and allow people who are actively working with Family Service to select one or two items that meet a need or a want (for children and teens).

Get involved:

  • Purchase and donate an item or two
  • Lead a drive at your workplace, house of worship or in your neighborhood
  • Volunteer to sort donations and/or help people choose gifts
  • Make a monetary donation

Detailed information about the Holiday Drive will be available in October. Send an email to or call 215-757-6916, ext. 218 if you would like to receive more information about the program.

Donate Used Clothing, Household Items and Other Goods
If you are interested in donating lightly used items such as clothing, jewelry, books, housewares, decorations and small furniture items please consider Déjà Vu Thrift Service Learning Center in Levittown.

All sales benefit the Awareness, Community Education and Support (AACES) program, which helps young adults with Autism gain greater independence through socialization and job training. Participants in our AACES program work along-side volunteers at Déjà Vu to learn valuable job skills that will increase their employability.
